But just a bit about me as a “coach”, “leader”, “helper”(or whatever label you want to put on it)…
The main action that I am engaged in when helping my team, is that of simplifying.
The main problem most run into is that of over-complicating.
When beginning to learn skills in a new area, in this situation it being internet marketing, one will generally over-complicate things. There is a lot of new data going into one’s head and because the full picture is not yet painted for the student, it is very, very easy to develop a way overly complex view of things.
The truths are very simple. It is the lies and confusions which lead to complexity. False information from past study, incomplete ideas about things, or just a general lack of understanding causes things to seem way “bigger”, “more difficult” or “complicated” than they really are.
Once the student has been able to acquire the knowledge he/she then must work with this knowledge, practice, drill, do, do, do and do before it becomes really clear and the big picture can be seen clearly and simply.
The runway to get to this point can at times seem difficult and some will get the idea that they “just can’t do it”. This is false. This false idea is a result of over-complication and simple unfamiliarily with the terms, and doingnesses of the game.
So, my job is really that of simplifying things for you when they begin to get complicated for you.
A good music teacher can see very clearly why the student is not able to create the desired effect (sound, mood, tonality, etc.) and yet the student will continue to do it wrongly for a very long time, or perhaps forever because he just doens’t “see” that which he is not yet aware of. And often, the solution to this is something that the student will not recognize as the solution. The student often does not even know what the problem is and without the problem being defined it is impossible to see a solution.
After many years of work, study, practice, drill, and do, do, do and so on in a particular area of life one can become very aware of things in that area and can develop skills of observation in that area which far exceed those of others who are not so familiar or aware in that area.
In order to get those who are less familiar to a point where they can begin to “see” clearly the solutions to the problems they are facing, it is often necessary to direct their attention to one very simple (an easier to observe) piece of the much greater puzzle.
In such a way, that student may begin to master each piece with the end result being a clear observation, knowledge and control over the puzzle as a whole.
In order to accomplish this it is necessary to constantly simplify things as the student digs himself deeper into the puzzle and confronts pieces with which he is not yet all that familiar.
This is just a readjustment of his viewpoint by someone who is already seeing cleary what is occuring and the intention of this readjustment is simply to get the student to “look” in the proper place so that he may “see” exactly what he has missed or is missing. It is this missing awareness/observation which has caused the imagined complexity he is stuck in.
So the way I work is I simplify things as much as possible and I ask you to look, so that you may see the very simply answers for yourself.
I am interested in your being able to observe and control your own business and in your ability to play the game masterfully. I am far less interested in just telling you what to do in the hopes that you will blindly get results from it. You could get results from such a thing but eventually, as the world and the market change you will need to be able to evolve with it.
In order to do so you will need understanding of what you are doing.
